50% Downfall In ‘Ek Villain Returns’ Box Office Collection On Day 4
On Monday, John Abraham, Disha Patani, Tara Sutaria and Arjun Kapoor starrer ‘Ek Villain Returns’ had a huge drop in film collection. On weekend, the film collected Rs. 23.54 crores and on Monday it falls by nearly 55%. The film has added Rs.2.90 to Rs 3.10 crores in its collection and a total of Rs 25 crores net, (approx.) has been collected till date according to the box office India.
Bollywood actor John Abraham also said about films on the big screen over OTT that “As a producer, I love the OTT space. I would love to make films for the medium and cater to that audience. But as an actor, I am very clear that I want to be on the big screen. I am a big-screen hero and that is where I want to be seen. At this point, I will do films that cater to the big screen. I would find it offensive if someone shut off my film midway on a tablet because they needed to rush to the washroom. Also, I would not like to be available for Rs 299 or 499. I have a problem with it.”
‘Ek Villain Returns’ was directed by Mohit Suri. It was released on 29th July 2022 on the big screen. The film is a spiritual sequel to the 2014 film 'Ek Villain' starring Riteish Deshmukh, Shraddha Kapoor and Siddharth Malhotra.
