Meanwhile, a sad news has come from the Odiya industry that recently a singer has passed away. Actually, a renowned Odiya singer Murali Mohapatra has been collapsed due to a sudden heart attack. The sad news comes from a cultural program organized at Rajanhar Puja Mandap in Odisha. At the same time, this incident is also reminding people of KK's death because Odia singer's death is somewhere similar to KK's death.
Recently Murali Mohapatra was performing in a live event of Durga Puja cultural program. The incident is from Jeyor town in Odisha's Koraput district where Murali's health suddenly deteriorated. According to the report, after singing four songs, the singer suddenly felt unwell and she sat down on a chair. During the event, his friend Prashant Kumar Mishra also told the audience that Murali is not well, so kindly please cooperate with him. Murali Mohapatra passed away on Sunday, 02 October 2022 and it was reported by his brother Vibhuti Prasad Mohapatra.

It is been said that Murali used to follow a legendary Odia singer, songwriter and composer Akshaya Mohanty this is the reason people call him Akshaya Mohanty of Jeypore. Let us tell you that, Murali was a clerk at the office of the Jeypore Sub-collector before he become a singer. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed his condolences on the death of Murali Mohapatra. Naveen tweeted “Saddened to know about the demise of popular singer Murali Mohapatra. His sweet voice will always ignite the hearts of listeners. May his soul rest in peace. My condolence to his family”.
