On Thursday, the Bollywood fraternity came together to remember Dharmendra at his prayer meeting. Several stars joined the Deol family in their moment of grief. Photos and videos from the gathering are now going viral on social media.

Bollywood’s “He-Man” and the heartbeat of millions, Dharmendra, now lives on only in memories. His passing on 24 November 2025 at the age of 89 left the film industry in deep sorrow. On Thursday, 27 November, a prayer meeting was held on the fourth day at Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai, where many prominent personalities from the film world arrived to pay their respects. Among those who offered tributes was Sonu Nigam, who remembered Dharam Ji by singing his iconic songs.

Celebrities Who Joined the Deol Family in Mourning
Numerous photos and videos from the prayer meet are widely circulating online. Many B-town celebrities attended to honor Dharmendra. The list included Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Rekha, Mahima Chaudhary, Madhuri Dixit, and several other industry stalwarts who came to bid farewell to the legendary “He-Man.” From the crematorium to the Deol residence, film stars and close friends visited continuously over the past four days to remember him.

Sunny and Bobby Thank Everyone
In images from the gathering, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol were seen expressing their gratitude to all who had come to offer their condolences for their father. A video also surfaced showing them leaving the prayer meet and heading home.

Absence of Hema Malini and Her Daughters
While several Bollywood personalities were present at the prayer meet, Hema Malini and her daughters Esha and Ahana were notably absent. Their absence became a major topic of discussion on social media. Earlier in the day, however, Hema Malini shared an emotional post reminiscing about the moments she had spent with Dharmendra. She wrote that a significant part of her life was connected to him, and that space now feels permanently empty. Interestingly, many celebrities visited Hema Malini’s residence later in the evening instead of attending the prayer meet, including Boney Kapoor, Madhoo Shah, and Esha Deol’s former husband Bharat Takhtani.

Asif Bhamla, founder of the Bhamla Foundation, also paid tribute to Dharmendra. Sharing a video, he wrote:
“I attended the memorial service of the legendary actor Dharmendra Ji at Lands End. Since childhood, he was the hero every boy wanted to be… the true He-Man. Thank you for inspiring generations. You will always be remembered through your films and the love you spread. Om Shanti.”
