Punjabi Singer Dilnoor Files Complaint After Extortion Threat

Punjabi singer Dilnoor has lodged a complaint with the SSP Mohali after receiving threatening phone calls. According to his complaint, the caller identified himself as Arju Bishnoi and asked Dilnoor to inform his close friend, singer B Praak, that a ransom of ₹10 crore must be paid. The caller allegedly threatened that if the demand was not met, B Praak would be harmed and warned of serious consequences within a week.

Threat Calls From Foreign Numbers

As per Dilnoor’s statement, he received two missed calls from a foreign number on January 5, which he did not answer. On January 6, he received another call from a different international number. When Dilnoor answered the call and found the conversation suspicious, he disconnected it. Soon after, he received a voice message containing an extortion threat.

₹10 Crore Ransom Demand

In the audio message, the caller allegedly stated that B Praak must pay ₹10 crore within one week, failing which he would face serious harm. Following the complaint, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter.

Dilnoor’s Close Bond With B Praak

Those close to Dilnoor are well aware of his long-standing bond with B Praak. The singer, who rose to fame with the song ‘Mastani’, has shared a strong connection with B Praak since 2014. What began as admiration eventually turned into a close friendship.

A Fan Since 2014

Speaking about his association with B Praak, Dilnoor said,
“I have been a fan of B Praak since 2014. That was the year he worked on Hardy Sandhu’s song ‘Soch’ as a music composer. I became deeply inspired by his music. I remember writing him a long message expressing how much his work moved me. Back then, I was working as a guitarist with Jassie Gill and Babbal Rai, and I would constantly listen to B Praak’s music. My admiration for him was never a secret.”
