A major legal complication has emerged regarding the ownership rights of Hera Pheri 3. Earlier reports suggested that Akshay Kumar had acquired the franchise rights from producer Firoz Nadiadwala. However, South Indian producer GP Vijayakumar has challenged this claim in court. He asserts that the original Hindi remake rights belong to him, not to Firoz Nadiadwala or Akshay Kumar
