Sunita Ahuja Opens Up About the Most Painful Chapter of Her Life

In a recent YouTube interview, Sunita Ahuja recalled one of the most heartbreaking moments of her life as she spoke about losing her three-month-old daughter.

In a candid conversation, the wife of actor Govinda shared the turbulent phase she went through and opened up about her baby’s deteriorating health and the circumstances that led to the tragic loss.

Sunita’s Pain

Speaking on Usha Kakde’s YouTube channel, Sunita revealed the emotional trauma of losing her infant daughter. She shared that the baby took her last breath in her arms. The incident, she said, occurred before the birth of their second daughter.

An Emotional Sunita Remembers the Tragedy

Becoming emotional, Sunita said, “My second daughter was born at eight months. Her lungs were not fully developed. One night, she suddenly had trouble breathing, and she took her last breath in my arms. It was the most difficult phase of my life. Today, I could have had two daughters and a son.”

Sunita also mentioned that during that period, she and Govinda were travelling extensively. She recalled carrying a heavy bag of chocolates from Singapore, which caused her water bag to rupture, leading to her baby’s premature birth.

Sunita and Govinda married in 1987. Before Govinda became a star, the couple kept their marriage a secret. They revealed their marital status only after the birth of their daughter, Tina. Today, the couple has two children — daughter Tina Ahuja, who has made her Bollywood debut, and son Yashvardhan Ahuja.
