A string of speculations and rumours is being cited as the reason behind the postponement of Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal’s wedding. Palash is facing allegations of cheating, and choreographer Nandika Dwivedi’s name had also surfaced in the matter. Now, Nandika has issued a statement on social media, presenting her side of the story.

The situation around cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal’s postponed wedding has taken several unexpected turns within days. A purported chat showing Palash flirting with someone went viral, after which his name began to be linked with choreographer Nandika Dwivedi. It was even being claimed that she was the reason behind the wedding being called off. Amid these rumours, Nandika has finally broken her silence and clarified her stand.

“It Affected My Mental Health”: Nandika Speaks Out

After her name surfaced in the controversy, Nandika made her Instagram account private. Recently, she shared an Instagram story in which she wrote:

“It hasn’t been easy for me. I don’t want to wrongfully blame anyone. People who care about me are deeply hurt by all this, despite the fact that none of it is true. My mental health has been affected. I have also been receiving threats. My family cannot bear to see this, which is why I made my account private.”

Nandika Calls the Rumours “Completely False”

In her statement, Nandika further added:

“Please, I request everyone to stop spreading rumours. I have sacrificed a lot to move to Mumbai and chase my dreams. Please stop dragging my name into this matter. I have nothing to do with any of this. The truth will eventually reveal itself.”

Hints That She Is Not the Reason Behind Smriti–Palash Rift

Nandika also hinted that she had no role to play in the couple’s relationship issues. She wrote:

“For the past few days, my name has been dragged into a matter that is extremely personal. I want to tell everyone that I am not the reason behind anyone’s relationship problems. I have no role in this. These claims are absolutely untrue.”

She added that it is painful to see false narratives being created around her, saying:
“These baseless stories have spread very fast. People are defaming others based on random Reddit posts.”

What Exactly Happened With Smriti and Palash’s Wedding?

So far, neither Smriti nor Palash has issued any public statement on the postponed wedding or the alleged chats. Smriti has removed the mehendi and haldi videos from her Instagram, and her friends have also deleted related photos and clips. However, older pictures remain visible.

To recap—cricketer Smriti Mandhana and composer-director Palash Muchhal were scheduled to marry on 23 November. But on the same day, the media was informed that the wedding had been postponed due to Smriti’s father’s ill health. Her father has since been discharged from the hospital.

In the midst of all this, Palash was also hospitalised due to a viral infection; his sister, singer Palak Muchhal, was spotted outside the hospital. He, too, has now been discharged.

Meanwhile, a supposed chat went viral, showing Palash flirting with a woman named Mary D'Costa. Later, his name was linked to choreographer Nandika as well. Friends of both Mary and Nandika have already issued clarifications, and now Nandika Dwivedi herself has formally shared her stance on the matter.
