₹100 Crore Defamation Case Filed Against Actress Khushi Mukherjee

A ₹100 crore defamation lawsuit has been filed against actress Khushi Mukherjee by social media influencer Faizan Ansari on January 13, 2026. The case is related to Khushi’s alleged remarks about Indian T20 International cricket captain Suryakumar Yadav. Khushi had claimed that the cricketer frequently messaged her, which triggered the legal action.

Complaint Filed at Ghazipur Police Station

According to reports, Mumbai-based Faizan Ansari has lodged a complaint at the Ghazipur Police Station. He termed Khushi Mukherjee’s claims as false, defamatory, and insulting, stating that such statements could seriously damage the cricketer’s reputation at a national level. Faizan alleged that the actress made these claims deliberately for publicity.

Demand for Strict Action and 7 Years’ Punishment

Faizan Ansari has demanded strict legal action against Khushi Mukherjee, including a minimum punishment of seven years. Speaking to the media, he said:

“We want an FIR to be registered against Khushi Mukherjee immediately. I have mentioned this clearly in my written complaint. I have over 2 million followers on Instagram, and my videos reach crores of people. Until justice is served, I will stay in Ghazipur. If Khushi is able to prove her allegations, I am ready to apologise publicly.”

Notably, Faizan Ansari had earlier also filed a ₹100 crore defamation case against Poonam Pandey.

Khushi Mukherjee’s Claims and Clarification

A few days ago, Khushi Mukherjee claimed that Suryakumar Yadav often messaged her and also stated that several cricketers were interested in her. She had said:

“Suryakumar used to message me a lot. Now we hardly talk. I don’t even want my name to be linked with him. I don’t like link-up rumours.”

However, later in an interview with NDTV, Khushi clarified her statement, saying that she never had a romantic relationship with Suryakumar Yadav. She claimed her words were misinterpreted and exaggerated, leading to confusion. According to her, they spoke only as friends in the past, and there is no contact anymore.
