Aryan Khan Sued for Showing Middle Finger: Shah Rukh Khan’s Son Lands in Legal Trouble Again
Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and the face of the upcoming series “Bad Boys of Bollywood,” has once again found himself entangled in a legal controversy.
A recent video clip of Aryan from a Bengaluru pub has gone viral on social media, in which he is allegedly seen making an obscene gesture by showing his middle finger. Following the video's circulation, a Bengaluru-based lawyer has filed an official complaint against him.
What does the complaint say?
Advocate Owais Hussain S has claimed in his complaint that several women were present at the venue during the incident. He stated that Aryan’s behaviour amounted to an insult to their dignity. The complaint further adds that such obscene gestures violate public decency and societal norms. The lawyer has urged the Director General of Police, the city commissioner, the DCP, and the local police station to register an FIR.
Police initiate immediate investigation
The Bengaluru Police have launched a probe following the complaint. Authorities said they are examining CCTV footage from the club along with social media videos to verify the incident. At present, the matter has been booked under Section 173B of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023—pertaining to offensive acts in public. If the allegations are confirmed, further sections related to indecency or public obscenity may be added.
How did the incident unfold?
Here’s a timeline of the alleged events:
The incident reportedly occurred on 28 November, when Aryan visited a Bengaluru pub for a promotional event.
In the viral video, Aryan is seen entering the venue, waving to the crowd, and then suddenly making an obscene gesture.
As soon as the clip surfaced, it sparked widespread discussion and criticism on social media and within legal circles.
What could happen next?
If the police find the allegations to be valid after analysing the CCTV and online videos, an FIR will be registered and legal proceedings may follow. However, it remains unclear whether Aryan will be arrested or if further steps will be taken only after an extended inquiry.
Aryan has faced legal trouble before
This is not the first time Aryan Khan has been involved in a legal case. In October 2021, he made headlines when the NCB arrested him during a raid on the Cordelia cruise ship in Mumbai, in connection with an alleged drug case. He spent three weeks in judicial custody before being granted bail. Later, an NCB SIT concluded that no drugs were found on him and there was no evidence of consumption. All charges against him were dropped in May 2022. The case had raised significant political and social questions about the functioning of Bollywood and federal agencies.
