Agastya Nanda Reveals How Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan Are at Home on Kaun Banega Crorepati 17

A special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 featured the team of the film Ikkis, including lead actor Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, and director Sriram Raghavan. During the show, host Amitabh Bachchan was seen playfully teasing his grandson Agastya—who, in turn, surprised everyone by candidly revealing how his grandparents, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, behave at home.

Light-Hearted Banter on the KBC Stage

In the latest episode, Amitabh Bachchan jokingly pulled Agastya’s leg several times, creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere on the set. Agastya didn’t hold back either and shared amusing details about his grandparents’ off-camera personalities, much to the audience’s delight.

The episode also had emotional moments, as Amitabh Bachchan fondly remembered his close friend Dharmendra. Dharmendra was part of Ikkis and played Agastya Nanda’s father in the film. Sadly, the legendary actor passed away in 2025, making Ikkis his final on-screen appearance. Veteran actor Asrani, who also featured in the film, is no longer with us either.

“Nanu Is Very Different at Home”

During the conversation, an audience member asked Agastya how Amitabh Bachchan is in real life compared to his on-screen persona. Agastya replied honestly,
“When Nanu comes here to the KBC set, he is completely different. At home, he is quite serious. This is actually the first time I’m seeing him so energetic and playful, and I’m really enjoying it.”

Who Is Stricter—Amitabh or Jaya?

Another audience member asked Agastya to choose his favorite between Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. Agastya jokingly asked if he could use a lifeline, which made Amitabh quip, “You’re stuck now!”
Adding to the humor, Jaideep Ahlawat teased Agastya, saying, “If you want to get scolded in the vanity van, take Jaya ji’s name. If you want to get scolded at home, take Big B sir’s name.”

After some hesitation, Agastya finally revealed that his grandmother Jaya Bachchan is the stricter one. Amitabh Bachchan agreed with a laugh and said, “Carry on—this is absolutely correct.”

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis was released in theatres on January 1. The film has been receiving positive responses and earned ₹7 crore at the box office on its opening day.
