Amitabh Bachchan’s popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati has welcomed several personalities from different fields in its ongoing 17th season. Recently, cricketer Shafali Verma and a few members of the Indian women’s cricket team appeared on the show.

Some Love Shopping, Some Are the “Angry Young Woman”

A promo featuring the Indian women’s cricket team on the show has been released on social media. In it, Amitabh Bachchan is seen interacting with the players and later dancing with them. The promo shows Amitabh asking for the first tag to be displayed. The tag reads “Fond of Shopping.” Immediately, everyone says Shafali Verma’s name in unison. Shafali laughs and says, “I love shopping, and I keep changing things around.” Everyone bursts into laughter.

Amol Muzumdar Sings on Stage

The second tag shown is “Angry Young Woman.” To this, Harmanpreet Kaur responds, “I don’t know about angry, but young woman is fine.”
The next tag reads “Master of Melody,” and everyone calls out Amol Muzumdar’s name. Amol then comes on stage and sings a song.

“Please Allow Junk Food!”

According to TOI, at one point during the show, Amitabh teased the team about eating junk food, especially during tournaments. In response, Shafali clarified, “No sir, that’s not true. The coach is the one saying it—ask the coach.” Sneha Rana added jokingly that the coach makes sure the team follows the correct diet. Amitabh then asked playfully whether the team celebrated their recent World Cup win by eating pizza. Turning toward coach Amol Muzumdar, Amitabh said, “They’ve just won the World Cup—at least allow them some junk food now!”

Amitabh Bachchan Dances with the Team

In another promo, Amitabh Bachchan asks the players how they celebrate their victories. They reply, “By dancing.” Amitabh instantly says, “Then let’s do it.” The song “Ladki Beautiful” begins playing, and Amitabh dances with the entire team.

Team Won the World Cup Last Month

The promo features Harmanpreet Kaur, Harleen Deol, Richa Ghosh, Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, Sneha Rana and head coach Amol Muzumdar. For reference, the Indian women’s cricket team defeated South Africa by 52 runs in the T20 World Cup 2025, held last month.

Speaking of Amitabh’s work, he was last associated with Farhan Akhtar’s film 120 Bahadur, for which he lent his voice.
